Flauti Animati Scotica is a recorder quintet based in South West Scotland. Formed in October 2000, we comprise five dedicated recorder players from varying walks of life who, between us, have amassed a wealth of musical talent and experience. All five of us have given recitals and played at various concert venues throughout the United Kingdom. We have taught and been taught by some of the most respected musicians in the field. Drawn together by our common love of the recorder and the desire to share our music, Flauti Animati Scotica is at the forefront of professional recorder playing in Scotland.

Our repertoire is full of variety, and we do not specialise in the performance of any particular genre of music. Our current repertoire includes works by composers such as Byrd, Bull, Staeps, Frescobaldi, Susato, Telemann, Bach, Britten, Rose and Cooke.

As a group we have performed at several venues in the Glasgow area as well as farther afield in Scotland and the North of England.
